Will You Get Henna on Your Body When You Visit the UAE?

Many women visiting the Emirates get henna on their arms and hands as it is temporary and one of the popular things tourists do, along with desert rides, smoking a shisha, riding an Arabian horse and drinking camel milk.

But why do it? Is it quintessentially Emirati or Arabian? Is it just for women?

The American Bedu is one of the blogs I read each week and today Bedu writes about the popularity of henna in Saudi Arabia.

This article, like the rest of the blog, has a Saudi flavor but I continue to learn much about the Emirates, as well as the KSA, from her writings.

Read this article and bookmark this interesting and popular site.

What's your experience with henna, as a woman or man?

What do you like/dislike about it?
