In view of the approach of Cyclone Gonu, students and staff of some Schools and Colleges in Fujairah were sent home early this afternoon (Tuesday 5 June 2007).Students of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in Fujairah were also told not to come to school on Wednesday, especially as many roads are likely to be impassable if tide waters continue to rise and cause flooding.
