Yesterday (10 September 2009) President Barack Obama met at the White House with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.According to an AFP report, the two “discussed ways to deepen the strong political, security and economic relationship” between the United States and the UAE, as well as ways to “bolster regional security, and advance Israeli-Arab peace efforts.”
Of special note is that President Obama “congratulated the Crown Prince on the UAE's leadership on renewable energy and on being chosen to host the new International Renewable Energy Agency.”
