Hyundai has recently launched in the UAE its Genesis luxury sedan in an event at Madinat Jumeirah.Coming with a price tag of $30,000 (in the US), the Genesis is intended to challenge the Mercedes E-Class, the BMW 5-series and the Lexus GS as engineering benchmarks.
The Genesis will be available with three engines, including two V6 engines and a new V8. The 3.3-litre V6 produces 264 hp and 316 Nm. The 3.8-litre V6 produces 290 hp and 358 Nm. The 4.6-litre V8 is good for 368 hp and 429 Nm, good for a 0-100 kph time of around six seconds.
All three engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic.
The spacious interior seems to use upscale materials extensively, and should match well with its intended competition.
