There are always scores of ships anchored 10-15 kilometres out from Fujairah but today (Friday 8 June 2007) there were more than 100 ships queuing into the breeze that was blowing south from Iran.The Fujairah port had closed on Wednesday and while it had reopened on Thursday morning, the loading and unloading was put on hold while waiting for calmer seas.
